Description: The two-storey building was constructed in 1902 by Alexander Gozadinov, chairman of the Mariupol district zemstvo council, as a wedding gift for his daughter Valentina. During the Soviet period, it housed archives and storage facilities, and in 2010 it was converted into a museum. In 2022, the museum building was struck directly by an aerial bomb. The explosion completely destroyed the roof, the historic timber attic structure, and the small tower on the Art Nouveau façade. Museum staff managed to move valuable works to the basement for safekeeping. After the city was taken by Russian forces, the collection was removed to Donetsk. The occupation authorities later restored the building.
