Description
The building was originally constructed as a workers’ club for the Lisychansk glass factory Proletarii. It was a classic example of the Stalinist Empire style, with a grand façade featuring a monumental portico supported by massive columns. Russian aircraft directly targeted the “Diamant” Palace of Culture. A heavy aerial bomb penetrated the roof and detonated inside the main hall. The building was officially declared completely destroyed and subsequently demolished down to its foundations by the occupation authorities.
