Description: The residential building of the Zaporizhstal plant is one of the key elements of the architectural ensemble of Soborny Avenue. Its façade is faced with ceramic tiles and richly decorated with architectural elements evoking the Renaissance. The restoration of the building after a Russian missile strike has become a unique example of careful treatment of architectural monuments. During the ongoing reconstruction, traditional methods of producing ceramic tiles and decorative elements have been employed for the first time since the 1950s to recreate the lost ornamentation. The reconstruction began in June 2023 with the financial support of the plant and the city budget. Specialists rebuilt two completely destroyed entrances, recreating the authentic decorative tiles and distinctive façade ornamentation. By spring 2024, the builders had completed major structural works, installed new utilities, repaired the flats, and equipped a modern shelter in the courtyard.
